Description
"Performance under extremes" characterises the Fokker Landing Gear company as part of the Fokker Technology group.
On this evening, we will give a small insight into the world of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft the F-35. We will discuss the development of the catch hook to enable safe landing on an aircraft carrier under all extreme conditions and the development of a composite drag brace (expansion bar) for the main landing gear, a unique breakthrough of composite technology in the 'champions league' of aircraft construction: flight critical single load-path structural parts.
Both developments will show how cutting edge knowledge and technology developed in the Netherlands has given Fokker a unique position through participation in previous major international aircraft development programmes such as the F-16, Apache and NH90, and how making the best use of the Dutch knowledge eco-system and golden triangle can lead to a unique technology position on the world stage.
