Description

We have all read in the papers about the Large Hadron Collider, which studies the behaviour of particles at extremely high energy.
But what about at very low energy? Quantum mechanics describes the correct behaviour of particles at extremely low energy. This leads to very strange conclusions. And yet these effects are of great importance in today's electronics.

In the lecture, Ruud Vlaming will illustrate the fundamentals and importance of quantum mechanics for non-experts.
