Tiny Machine Learning (following region North West annual meeting)
Lecture by ir Johan Koopmman of KIM Plus Delta
Artificial intelligence generally requires a lot of computing power and puts a lot of pressure on hardware. While there is often a need for algorithms that work locally. This is where Tiny Machine Learning (Tiny ML) comes in. Edge AI can handle larger models and more complex computations, while TinyML focuses on lightweight models suitable for microcontrollers. In this presentation, we will discuss the key drivers behind the development of Tiny ML, and what this technology enables. We will discuss how ML models can be scaled down to be suitable for Tiny ML applications. Finally, we will show examples of (potential) applications of Tiny ML discussed in different domains.
Prior to the presentation, the annual meeting of the North-West region will take place. (Relevant papers can be requested via kringalkmaar at KIVI.nl)
