Creating added value together
Description
KIVI Kring Drechtsteden would like to invite you to a lecture provided by Arnold Breur (Coordinating/Specialist Advisor Innovation and Market) and Marian Vrolijk (Head of Department Innovation and Market) of the Major Projects and Maintenance organisational unit of RWS. This lecture is a follow-up to the November 2014 lecture "Contract forms, facts and political fiction" by Cees van de Graaf. RWS was then asked to come and explain their position in response.
Added value is created together.
Rijkswaterstaat has gone through a major change in the past 10-15 years. If you look closely, you will see that there is a continuous movement of improvement, learning and optimisation in these changes.
This lecture will share the transition from the past few years. The challenges facing Rijkswaterstaat in the coming years will also be discussed. Central will be that many of Rijkswaterstaat's challenges are common challenges for the entire GWW sector. This will be explained using a number of examples.
In daily practice, many discussions between Rijkswaterstaat and the market are about application of working methods, contracts and instruments (such as EMVI). But the question is whether the problem lies in the working method or whether the real issues lie at a deeper level, namely in our joint behaviour.
It is not for nothing that during the Rijkswaterstaat Market Day, the Director General of Rijkswaterstaat made the call to make a trend change and organise a culture that truly radiates cooperation. This will also be addressed in the lecture
