A sustainable project, where do you start?
It already seems a long time that sustainability and zero-emission construction have been on the agenda. Nothing could be further from the truth; in 2018, Gebr. De Koning had developed an emission-free vibrating block for installing sheet piling, however, there was no market for it at that time. Has anything changed in the meantime? When it comes to emission-free equipment, what is technically (un)possible? Where is it heading?
And further, is zero-emission construction actually sustainable? Where can the most environmental gains actually be made in construction and what are the preconditions? Leo van Dijk, of Gebr. De Koning, is an expert by now and will tell more about this.
Installation techniques sheet piling and tubular pilesGikenis a Japanese developer and manufacturer of specialist foundation techniques. The Silent Piler compression technique is their best-known technique. Gebr. De Koning has had an intensive collaboration with this company since 2018. Besides the Silent Piler technique, Gebr. De Koning now applies several lesser-known techniques.
Leo van Dijk will explain these techniques, with their areas of application. Leo van Dijk is technical commercial manager at Gebr. De Koning. He has mechanical and business training and has been working in the construction sector for 12 years. Innovation has his heart, but this regularly clashes with the traditional world of construction. Fortunately, in recent years he has seen room for new techniques and products, often driven by the environment and sustainability. He is happy to talk about this quest.
The drinks will start at 18:00 and the meal will follow promptly at 19:00.
