Jan Al talks from his 20 years of experience as director of installation companies (at BAM until 2015). Currently programme manager digitalisation for UNETO-VNI, the industry association of installers. In that capacity also director at STABU, Ketenstandaard and 2BA, among others. Also supervisor and management consultant.

BIM (Building Information Management) has become indispensable for the competitiveness of the construction industry over the past five years. The increasing complexity of technology and installations, the high demand for integrated solutions and thinking in terms of the life cycle of buildings places high demands on the integral management of information. The transition to digital working in construction is still in full swing and very challenging for all parties involved.

The presentation will cover what digitisation and BIM mean for building and installation. What changes are taking place and what this requires from the players in the construction column. Where crucial changes are needed to remain competitive.
