The truth about climate change
Description
Over 10 years ago, I gave my first lecture on climate for the circle. I started preparing it as an alarmist, but when I gave the lecture a few months later, I was completely confused: I had discovered all sorts of problems with the Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming (CAGW) hypothesis. Very little of the underpinning appeared to be correct. Three years later, in my second climate lecture to our circle, after thorough research I had evolved into a climate sceptic who contested mainstream climate science on many issues.
The situation has changed a lot in those ten years.
While in the public debate and in politics climate change can no longer be disputed and is used as an incontrovertible starting point for very expensive policies, so many new facts have come to light scientifically that I no longer have to oppose climate science at all: with the IPCC reports in my hand, I can substantiate almost all sceptical positions.
With these undisputed scientific facts as a basis, we are going to revisit the main questions on climate and energy on 13 February. In the process, you will be quizzed on the knowledge you have learned in those ten years! So first I will ask each question to the attendees, and then explain how it is according to science.
The drinks will start at 18:00 and the meal will follow punctually at 19:00.
Sign up no later than 11 February 2018 by 12:00.
