Description

Given current events, Jan Meissen will outline his views on the events and communication surrounding the Chemie-Pack and Kijfhoek fires. Once again, it is confirmed that in our modern society, serious "chemical" incidents can never be ruled out. And, despite all preventive and repressive possibilities, must be accepted to some extent.

Jan Meissen has been involved in "chemical safety" as a chemical technologist in various positions for more than 40 years. Both in internal "health and safety" and external safety, environmental care and fire prevention. As such, he has also been a member of the national Group Risk Accountability Committee from the very beginning, and as such also contributed to the Group Risk Accountability Guide. Besides working in industry, he is also active in national committees such as BRZO (Major Accident Hazards Decree) and External Safety / Group Risk Accountability
