Description

Flight Schiphol - Hamburg - Schiphol. From Hamburg Airport a bus will be available for two days for the trip to Schwerin, Wismar and the surrounding area (flight of a little over an hour, bus trip to Schwerin also a little over an hour).

Departure probably early Friday afternoon from Schiphol by easyJet or KLM. Return trip by bus to Hamburg Flughafen during Sunday afternoon. Afterwards flight Schiphol.

Programme Schwerin, Wismar and possibly Travemünde (local guidance):
* Visit historic Fokker Halls 1 & 2 (1913-1919) / Friday afternoon, Saturday morning.
* Visit Perzina piano factory (WW 1 production of aircraft wings for the Fokker company) & briefly visit two residential locations Anthony Fokker at the time / Saturday.
* Visit airfield Görries (WW1 for testing Fokker aircraft and also used by the Russians until their departure around 1990) / Saturday.
* Visit Technik Museum (phanTECHNIKUM) Wismar (Fokker history) / Saturday.
* Possible visit Travemünde - Priwall (Fokker 1917 - 1918) / Saturday.
* Friday evening dinner Hotel Niederländischer Hof (predicate Court supplier since 1922 and at the time regularly visited by Queen Wilhelmina and her consort Prince Hendrik).
* Saturday lunch at the Technik Museum Wismar (lots of Fokker info).
* Saturday evening dinner at the Market Square of historical Wismar or else Travemünde.
* Sunday morning possibly: Staatliches Museum, Schloss Schwerin and "Fokker matters".

Stay two nights (incl. breakfast) InterCity Hotel in the centre of Schwerin.
