NVvL & KIVI AE study award ceremony
Description
On Thursday 20 November next, the NVvL and KIVI (Aerospace Engineering Department) are organising a meeting in which the annual awards for the best graduation reports will be presented and the award winners will give a presentation on their graduation work.
Since 1991, the Dutch Society for Aerospace Engineering has awarded a prize every year to both the graduation report of Delft University of Technology (L&R faculty), InHolland University of Applied Sciences (Aerospace Engineering) and, since 2010, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Aviation Studies), which, in the opinion of our study prize committee, best support one of the objectives of the NVvL & KIVI, the dissemination of aerospace engineering knowledge in the Netherlands. The graduation reports are hereby judged mainly on scientific content, innovation and relevance.
The following nine reports were nominated by the three training institutes:
- TUD, Fardin Esrail: 'Efficient and Accurate Analytical Models for the Determination of the Extent of Damage and Compression Strength After Impact in Composite Laminates'.
- TUD, Ingo Gerth: 'Convex optimisation for Constrained and Unified Landing Guidance'.
- TUD, Jan Schneiders: 'Time-Supersampling 3D-PIV Measurements by Vortex-in-Cell Simulation'.
- InH, Krister de Ridder: 'Development of an Enhanced Classic Motion Drive Algorithm Dedicated to the Approach Fflight Phase'.
- InH, Wilco van Rossum: 'Inductive Behaviour Carbon Composites'.
- InH, Sander Baron: 'Introduction 3D Printing as Production Method'.
- HvA, Aaron Bussue & Kriston Sorton: 'Ultrasonic Verification Analysis - a non-destructive way to detect composite damage'.
- HvA, Boris Böing: 'Retractable and steerable tail wheel JS1'.
- HvA, Rick Klein: 'Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems - Test procedures for light multi-rotors'.
This year's prize winners will be announced on the NVvL website no later than 17 November
