NVvL & KIVI AE study award ceremony
Description
On Wednesday 18 November next, the NVvL and KIVI (aerospace engineering department) are organising a meeting in which the annual awards for the best graduation reports will be presented and the award winners will give a presentation on their graduation work.
Since 1991, the Netherlands Aerospace Engineering Association has awarded a prize each year to both the graduation report of Delft University of Technology (L&R faculty), InHolland University of Applied Sciences (Aerospace Engineering) and, since 2010, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Aviation Studies), which, in the opinion of our study prize committee, best support one of the objectives of the NVvL & KIVI, the dissemination of aerospace engineering knowledge in the Netherlands. The graduation reports are hereby judged mainly on scientific content, innovation and relevance.
The following nine reports were nominated by the three training institutes:
- TUD, Tim Visser: 'System Identification with Multivariate Multiplex Splines'
- TUD, Harry Linskens: 'Tether Dynamics Analysis and Guidance & Control Design for Active Space Debris Removal'
- TUD, Fredrik van Loock: 'Exploring the opportunities of piezoelectric composites for shear strain-driven energy harvesting'
- InHolland, Ard-Jan de Blaeij: 'Free-state Quality Inspection of Non-rigid Components'
- InHolland, Ventsislav Pazhev: 'Multibody Dynamics Helicopter Simulation'
- InHolland, Rob Stolk: 'Quadrotor Fault Tolerant Control'
- HvA, Mitchel_Pappot: 'The integration of drones in today's society'
- HvA, Marleen Hillen: 'Inspection methods for helicopter rotor blades - for multiple levels of maintenance'
- HvA, Paul Heslinga: 'The impact of modern navigation on noise pollution in the vicinity of an airport'.
This year's prize winners will be announced on the NVvL website on 12 November
