On Saturday 14 December 2013, the Hogeschool van Amsterdam together with the AKCD will organise the Aviation Professionals Event 2013, an aviation professional day which will simultaneously include the Aviation Knowledge & Career Day, the Aviation Management Conference and the Aviation Security & Technology Seminar. During this event, the entire first floor of the Leeuwenburg location of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (right next to Amsterdam Amstel train station) will be buzzing with aviation. The programmes of the individual events include:

- This year's Aviation Knowledge & Career Day (AKCD) includes more than 20 presentations and workshops by Airbus (A400M transport aircraft), Boeing (Dreamliner update), KLM (jet engine tests) and Eurocontrol, among others.

- At the Aviation Management Conference (AM conference), keynote speaker Boet Kreiken (Managing Director KLM Cityhopper) will give his views on regional aviation, and professionals and students from the Aviation Management honours programme will present their research on airport development in London and the cost of Low Cost Carriers for the region, among others.

- Aviation Security & Technology Seminar (AS&T seminar) In addition to presentations on Nuclear Security (Mr Wolterbeek of TU Delft) and Security Marketing (Mr van Buren of the University of Amsterdam), among others, the Aviation Security & Technology students will organise the opportunity to participate in "Open Spaces" on the topics such as Technology & Innovation, Risk Management and Passenger Processes in the Terminal.
