7th online session Building Maintenance 2021 on 4 August 2021: Commissioning, delivery and handover in maintenance and use phase.

The Maintenance Department will organise monthly online sessions on every 1st Wednesday in 2021 covering aspects in the field of technical management and maintenance (TBO) in buildings.

As a framework, standards such as ISO 55000-Asset management, ISSO Sustainable Management and Maintenance, NEN standards and other standard guidelines will be used. At the same time, a practical interpretation is given from the perspective of the technical management and maintenance of the monumental KIVI building. We will also regularly invite frontrunners, market leaders and objective knowledge sharers to tell their stories.

The aim of the sessions is to take participants through the process of developing a vision, strategy and concrete policies and sub aspects.

The sessions will take place from 16:30 to 18:00 via Teams and will be recorded in this time slot so that people can watch them again on the internet. Digital walk-in starts at 3.30pm. After 6pm, there will be an opportunity to talk digitally until 7pm.

Wednesday, August 4, 2021, the 7e online session will take place, dealing with Commissioning, delivery and handover in Building Maintenance.

KIVI Maintenance board member Aart de Jong of Tiberius Maintenance, also a member of the KIVI Building Committee and working as an advisor on Technical Management and Maintenance, will introduce this session. A brief summary will be given of the past six sessions covering ISO 55000 aspects. From now on, the topics will be more integral and focused on technical management and maintenance in buildings.

Wilfred van der Plas, subject matter expert manager at consultancy firm DWA, (see also https://www.linkedin.com/in/wilfredvanderplas/) will elaborate on relevant aspects in the delivery and transfer to the maintenance and use phase of buildings, such as commissioning.

This time, too, we expect a lot of interaction, as the phase transfer from realisation to use often proves to be a tricky point in practice.
