One of the spearheads of the business plan is high-quality maintenance of our infrastructure and rolling stock. At the lowest possible cost and in accordance with the agreements we have made with our principal: the Rotterdam City Region.

For technology, the second pillar is 'high operational quality', the starting point for contributing to the perfect journey for our customers. In terms of management and maintenance of our assets, RET has deliberately chosen 'Asset Management' as its maintenance philosophy.
The Engineering Directorate is responsible for this. The Director of Engineering manages six departments: Fleet Management, Fleet Services, Infra Management, Infra Services, Engineering and Logistics
