Safety in Maintenance
THIS ACTIVITY HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Accidents in industry not infrequently happen during maintenance operations. After all, they are always 'unusual' situations where safety systems are sometimes disabled and following proper procedures is paramount to carry out the work safely. But even if you seemingly have everything in order, sometimes people still behave unsafely and cause an accident, how is that even possible? To make a contribution in reducing the number of accidents during maintenance, the KIVI Maintenance department i.c.w. NVDO organises the congress
The idea for a congress on 'safety in maintenance' arose in a working group composed of members of KIVI Maintenance and NVDO. The aim of this working group was to explore what the next step is to further increase safety within maintenance once your machines are safe and your safety system is in place: How, for example, can leadership ensure that people now also behave safely. This approach is intended to inspire people working in maintenance to get started on further increasing safety.
Handholds
At the moment, the new approach is being assessed but next year it will be freely available and the working group would like to disseminate it widely. For example, through this congress. Arend Bos, board member of the Maintenance trade group and day chairman of the congress: "The congress is intended for people who have line responsibility for maintenance and want more handles to increase the safety of their employees. This congress offers some of these handles with, among other things, the presentation of the approach but also through a forum discussion and various stories from practice." Especially in the forum discussion, there is plenty of room for your own questions.
The programme is as follows:
