Description

Space is a precious commodity in the small Netherlands. Old buildings remain vacant, causing areas to depreciate in value, while much of the few vacant space is filled with new construction. Reallocation is often not the most obvious solution financially, as new construction is more attractive at first sight. However, due to the crisis, reallocation is becoming increasingly important. The symposium will address the bottlenecks, opportunities and trends within redevelopment.

21 March 2012 will host the 19th symposium of study association ConcepT of the study of Civil Engineering at the University of Twente. The morning is reserved for several lectures that will highlight the subject from different angles. In the afternoon, several workshop rounds will take place. During the breaks there will be opportunities for interaction between companies and participants
