The express cycle route F261 runs from Tilburg Station to regional business park Haven in Waalwijk. The nearly 19-kilometre route is red asphalt and wide. The municipalities of Tilburg, Waalwijk and Loon op Zand are realising the express cycle route in cooperation with the province of North Brabant. A section near the Efteling has already been realised by the municipality of Loon op Zand. The entire route is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. During the lecture, provincial project leader Mathijs Ransijn will first explain what the province has in mind for 2030 express cycle routes and how it is facilitating this. Afterwards, project leader Kees van Uden of the Tilburg municipality will give a presentation on how she is tackling the construction of express cycle routes within the municipality of Tilburg. She is realising the F261 in various places within the municipality, including Reitse Hoevenstraat and Kraaivenstraat. An express cycle route to Breda, the F58, is also in preparation within Tilburg municipality. An express cycle route to Oosterhout is in an exploratory phase.
