Deurganck dock lock
Description
The world's largest lock is currently under construction at Kallo in the Port of Antwerp. The project started in October 2011 and completion is scheduled for 2016, the work is in full swing, making it a good time to visit the construction site.
In consultation with the Port of Antwerp, KIVI NIRIA Bouw- en Waterbouwkunde is organising an excursion to this project
The programme is as follows:
10.00 a.m. Departure by bus from TU Delft (car park near former Bouwkunde building)
13.00 a.m. Arrival at the construction site in Kallo
13.00 - 13.30 a.m. Reception explanation
13.30 - 15.30 a.m. Tour of the construction site in groups
15.30 - 16.30 Afterglow
16.30 Departure bus
18.30 Arrival in Delft
For members from other parts of the country there is the possibility of boarding at Roosendaal station, when registering please state clearly if you wish to make use of this.
