Dike monitoring in (preparation for) reinforcement projects
On 31 January from 13:00 to 17:00, the Dike Monitoring Network is organising an interactive workshop on dike monitoring in (preparation for) strengthening projects. This workshop will take place at the Waterschapshuis in Amersfoort. KIVI members are cordially invited to attend.
The workshop will be interactive. Based on presentations and a case study, participants will use a serious-game-like format to formulate a (phased) dike monitoring strategy/approach. The focus is on the entrance test and trajectory approach.
Programme & content workshop:
12:50 Walk-in
13:00 Introduction/introduction
13:15 Cooperation with area partners, opportunities in the environment
Martin van der Meer (POV DGG) takes us through the opportunity scan (from the perspective of the POV Dijkversterking met Gebiedseigen grond), the cooperation with area partners (in a trajectory approach) and the role of dike monitoring in this.
13:45 Directive Eligibility Dike Monitoring HWBP
Harm Rinkel (HWBP) presents from the High Water Protection Programme the new guideline Eligibility of Dike Monitoring and its role in and after the entrance test. Of course in preparation for reinforcement projects.
14:15 Break
14:30 Spoorboekje implementatie dijkmonitoring: op weg naar beoordeling en versterking
The role of dike data in assessment and strengthening, duty of care and thus in the life cycle, form the basis of the Spoorboekje Implementatie Dijkmonitoring and will be introduced by Wouter Zomer (Netwerk Dijkmonitoring).
15:00 Working out case Rijn and IJssel
After the presentations, we will start working out the case of Waterschap Rijn en IJssel (WRIJ). WRIJ carries out long-term dike monitoring in their primary defences and processes the data to improve the accuracy of insight into the dikes. Among other things, by tightening subsurface attenuation factors and D-Geo calculations. Besides discussing specific technical aspects, process-related aspects will also be discussed.
To this end, we organise two rounds of parallel sessions focusing on specific questions from the case for further elaboration. We take our time for this: so we can really go into the depth of the content.
16:30 Plenary feedback on results
17:00 Closing
Registration:
You can confirm your participation by emailing netwerk@dijkmonitoring.nl. We will then send you the agenda item in which the exact location and final programme will be shared.
