Lessons learned technique North/South Line
Description
On the technical side, many challenges were overcome during the construction of the North/South Line, from which we can learn a lot for new projects. Richard de Nijs (Project Manager corrective jacking Vijzelgracht of Witteveen+Bos) shares his experiences on the power of feedback from monitoring subsidence to the designer, paying special attention to the subsidence and damage at the "Wevershuisjes". Afterwards, Sjaak Verlaat (Project Leader Rokin at Royal HaskoningDHV) explains how design and phasing for the construction of Rokin station were influenced by the environment and changing circumstances within the project.
The cofferdam under Central Station was realised with a so-called "Sandwich wall", Carlos Bosma (Project Manager Strukton Maatvoering & Monitoring) will tell how the "observational method" paid off in process control. And finally, Peter van Westendorp (Project Manager Strukton Immersion Projects) will give a presentation on the technique used in the sinking of the zinc tunnel under Central Station.
This evening promises to be a highly informative evening for everyone in the fields of construction, hydraulic engineering, geotechnics and tunnelling
