Description

The biennial symposium of "Het Gezelschap Practische Studie", the study association students of Civil Engineering at TU Delft will again take place on 9 December 2010 with this time the theme:

Olympics 2028, Civil carries the flame!
Develop the Netherlands to Top Level

The symposium consists of a morning programme and an afternoon programme in which the question How can Civil Engineering realise the Olympic Games with a view to the future of the Netherlands will be central.

In the morning programme, the topic will be introduced and then the Olympic Games will be discussed from the point of view of different perspectives: Herbert Wolff (Olympic Fire), Prof Dr Hennis de Ridder (Professor TU Delft), the BAM and Henk Ovink (Director National Spatial Planning, VROM). In the afternoon programme, we will delve deeper into specific ideas for the Olympic Games in the form of workshops and a speakers' panel. The day will conclude with a discussion and drinks
