Description

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have been given a prominent place (notes on Space and Mobility) and will play an important role in realising the Cabinet's ambitions. The Cabinet's objective is for PPP to become an accepted instrument in the implementation of government policy. The application of PPPs is still too incidental. An important condition, however, is that both the public sector and the private sector have realistic expectations about the possibilities of PPP. A cooperation in which the government clearly indicates what it wants to achieve and within which preconditions, and in which the private sector is given room to deploy its innovation within these preconditions. The symposium discusses PPP projects in the Netherlands (e.g. A59 and HSL).

We invited ing. M.C.J. van Pernis, chairman of the board of Siemens Nederland, to act as keynote speaker. Many other prominent speakers will also contribute. It promises to be an interesting day led by prof.dr.ir. H.A.J. de Ridder, with plenty of material for tough discussions!
