Description

BAM has won the contract to design and build five wind turbine foundations off the Northumberland coast. These wind turbine foundations will be sunk to the bottom of the North Sea. It is the first time this method has been used for this purpose, so this project is also seen as a demonstration project.

Sander Overbeeke will come to this lunchtime lecture by The Society for Practical Study to talk more about the various technical aspects involved in foundation design. Registration is possible on the website, see link below. A lunch lecture naturally includes a free sandwich.
