Description

Growth does not happen by itself. Not with children and not with businesses. A business develops and needs a lot of commitment of people, money and experience, to grow successfully.

What are crucial moments in business growth? What are wise decisions to make in order to continue growing? Growing too fast is not wise from the point of view of cash flow and growth spurts of the organisation. Growing too slowly plays into the hands of competitors. Growth requires a lot of money for investment. What priorities do you make when investing? In this workshop, using three real-life cases, we will discuss what an optimal growth path is, and what role cost efficiency plays.

The workshop is part of a workshop cycle to be held between 2 and 15 April.
The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI), Department of Business Administration, in cooperation with the Dutch Association of Commissioners and Directors (NCD), YES!Delft, is organising the workshop cycle " MORE VALUE IN YOUR COMPANY" for entrepreneurs.

The importance of innovation is to create value: the value that customers want to pay for and the value that convinces investors to put money into your company. How do you price an innovative product or service? What is your company worth? How do you convince lenders that you are right?

In this workshop series, the course leaders handle practical cases from some of the participants and you exchange knowledge and experiences among yourselves. Theory and practice go hand in hand in this workshop series. The methods and techniques are taught in such a way that they can be applied directly in practice. This set-up ensures that participants look at their own company in a different way and get new ideas to get more out of their business.

In the workshop cycle "MORE VALUE IN YOUR COMPANY" of KIVI, Department of Business Administration, you will learn about value, get acquainted with useful tools, and immediately apply them in your own company. You will bring in your own case study and have an immediate opportunity for feedback.

Each workshop has its own theme, but is structured in the same way: Introduction to the topic
o the topic and importance of this workshop; theory, facts and figures on practice; dashboard for the evening with factors and variables
o analysis method; Three business cases brought in by the participants; pitch; case analysis with step-by-step plan; dashboard: situation now and desired situation later; analysis, concrete solutions and steps
Completion
o lessons from theory and practice

The workshops start at 15:00 with a sandwich around 18:00. Workshops end around 20:00. Walk-in is from 14:30.
