Faster innovation through flexible organisation
Description
We all know it, the stories of friends or colleagues being laid off because an organisation has run into trouble and is reorganising. Although the economy seems to be picking up slightly, the number of unemployed is still on the rise. People who do have permanent contracts are staying where they are for now, even if they cannot make the most of their talents at the moment.
On the other side are the employers. The economic crisis has forced them to cut costs significantly. Now that the economy is picking up somewhat, they are looking for opportunities to grow sales again and, where possible, introduce new products and services into the market. However, the recovery is fragile and the time does not yet seem ripe for hiring.
How can we break this deadlock? How can we deal with the tension between the traditional way of thinking in fixed structures and the current zeitgeist that calls for innovative thinking, speed and flexibility? How do we create an environment where employees and organisations can perform and cooperate to the maximum in various contexts?
Flexibilisation of the labour market is a hot topic. A hyper-dynamic market, economic recession and developments in technology require organisations to be flexible. A tough challenge, especially in view of Dutch laws and regulations. To still save costs and be agile, many organisations are laying off permanent staff and hiring flexible workers. But is that a sustainable solution?
We would like to introduce you to a hybrid organisational form, which gives you the power to innovate and respond quickly to developments in the market, and which gives your employees the opportunity to gain a lot of knowledge and experience and make maximum use of their talents.
In the workshop 'Faster Innovation through flexible organisation', you take the first steps towards a future-proof organisational form. To do so, we take a close look at 6 dimensions in your organisation: the market, processes, structure, people, culture and leadership
