Ferro-Fix, theme Reshoring Maakindustri
Description
On Thursday 19 January, KIVI Bedrijfskunde-Zuid held its 2nd symposium on the theme of Reshoring Manufacturing. About 150 attendees followed the presentations of four speakers working in science, as manufacturers, at a research agency and at the Ministry of Economic Affairs . Each speaker highlighted the theme from his specific point of view. The presentations concluded with a lively and engaged forum discussion with firm statements. And as promised then, it will not stop there!
In 2017, we intend to pay attention to this important theme for the bv Nederland and Minister Asscher again with excursions.
Academically talking about it is one thing, doing it is another. However, this does not apply to Ferro-Fix. The precondition for reclaiming production is to abandon the old way of working. A different approach is required. Earlier excursions to Omron (den Bosch) and Interfocos (Bladel) already showed this. At Omron, the formula for success was TQM, at Interfocos QRM. At Ferro-Fix, they were able to bring back production from Poland by, among other things, making use of the special regulations around providing employment to employees with a Social Workshop indication.
During this visit, the Manager Operations will explain how they succeeded in lean production in Rotterdam with employees who require more attention. This achieved many benefits in terms of loyalty and commitment, quality, flexibility and manageability and time to market.
Ferro-Fix shows that retention and Reshoring of Manufacturing Industry is not only possible, but also a must.
Dear manager, get informed about how Ferro-Fix managed Reshoring as a social employer, with the introduction of work processes for people with a distance to the labour market.
Check the proposition: "Fleeing into Off-shoring production, is usually a sign of weak management!
