Description

In early 2015, Itamar Sharon (30) introduced his book 'Happyholics'. In this book, he describes how managers can deal with employees who want job satisfaction. This type of people he characterises as 'happyholics'. They are mainly (young) employees who do not get so much satisfaction from the salary slip, the nice office or the fast lease car. The (young) employees are mainly looking for their intrinsic needs such as happiness and meaning in their work.

In his book, Itamar describes five core needs that are crucial for happyholics to get satisfaction from their work and what managers can do to accommodate this generation. Itamar's story is supported by scientific research that shows that happy employees who are meaningfully engaged have a positive impact on an organisation's success. Indeed, happyholics who are happy in an organisation are more effective, more productive, more creative, more engaged, less prone to stress and generally a lot healthier.

During an interactive evening session, it will be made clear how to keep happyholics happy and how a company can retain them. In mixed groups of 4 to 5 people, with Happyholics and managers, (open) questions and/or propositions are presented, such as 'What do you have to offer as an employer to be attractive to Happyholics' or 'What is going on with Happyholics and how can we retain them at the company?' The answers will be shown per group and discussed collectively by Itamar.
