For the KIVI NIRIA members of the Business Administration South department, shipbuilding has regularly come under the spotlight in recent years. Rightly so, because in niche markets, such as dredging and offshore, Dutch shipbuilding holds a dominant position.
That the Dutch large yacht builders, together with the Italians are leading in their market is often less known. A visit to Amels will therefore open up a new world for you.
This sector differs in almost everything from normal shipbuilding.
Cleaning and first-time-right are elevated to an art here. But things like logistics processes or marketing are also very different in all respects

Managing director Mr Luijendijk has been asked to elaborate on the typical business aspects surrounding Yacht Construction. He will also discuss the existing synergy with the parent company.
During the tour of the shipyard, you will be amazed at the care with which a heavy metal capital asset like a Yacht is built.
Before you leave, there will be an opportunity in the reception hall to ask questions of the tour guides and have a drink afterwards.
Especially for young business experts, this excursion leads to a broadening of business insights.
