Commercially effective
Description
Why is one company so much more commercially successful than another? It is a question that concerns many people. And so books have been written about it and a host of training courses are offered. By now, everyone has access to all commercial tools and methods. But what does that actually achieve? Does it fundamentally change the playing field?
The search for the holy grail of commercial effectiveness is not a search for tools and methods. It is a search for the answers (that you already have) and what you stand for. During our interactive workshop on 4 June next, you will be asked to embark on this quest and experiment. In the process, you will learn from consistently commercially effective organisations, from each other and from yourself.
The workshop facilitators are Henk de Jong, Business Advisor at Axisto, and Sebastian Wesselius, Business Advisor at RedZebra Group
Reception with lunch buffet (included in the price) (6pm)
Introduction (6.45pm)
*The starting point
What do you have to offer? What is the story to (potential) customers? What positive experiences do we have and what can we learn from them? To kick off the evening, we will map out the current situation together. How do we do it now and how effective is it?
*Why do we want to do business with you?
Using a short film clip, we will get to the heart of commercial effectiveness; connection. But what is that? And how do you create it? And what do you do then?
*What does it mean for us?
Using the above topics, we will now work together on our commercial effectiveness. What can we learn now? What would we like and could we change?
*Message from practice
The results of a recent study by IMD Business School on the success factors of high-performing companies endorse our conclusions. You will have the opportunity to complete this survey yourself and compare your results with the results of the study.
After-dinner drinks (until 10 pm)
Speaker(s)
Henk de Jong is originally a mechanical engineer. From 1984, he held various managerial positions at Philips at home and abroad. Time and again, his assignment was to set up something new or substantially improve something. In 1997, Henk made a logical switch to operations consulting. Since then, he has supported companies such as Daimler, Volvo, Philips, Prysmian, Aluchemie and SmurfitKappa in realising substantial performance improvements in commercial effectiveness, product innovation and operations.
Sebastian Wesselius is a consultant/trainer/facilitator with a strong track-record in the implementation of complex improvement projects in the private and public sector. His starting point is that the most effective answer to any issue can be given by the person or group itself. To this end, in addition to the necessary know-how, there must also be climate that invites show-how. At organisations such as DSM, T-Mobile, KPN, CSM and Lutèce, Sebastian has been able to develop this combination at all levels in an organisation
