The Creative Challenge
Description
The potential of creativity, innovation and realisation power
2009 has been declared the year of creativity and innovation by the European Commission. For the Dutch service economy, creativity is indispensable and vital for companies. Individual knowledge workers are also increasingly distinguished by their creativity. And all this is perhaps most true for the engineer. Creative skills, alongside professional knowledge, are becoming increasingly important for the engineer. Developments in areas such as the economy, ecology and society are challenging the engineer to look for new solutions in an increasingly creative way. What is the importance of creativity for the engineer (the profession, the agency, the individual)? How great is your own creativity? How can you explore new paths instead of beaten ones? How can you get more out of yourself and teams? How big is the creative challenge? Clearly: if you do what you did you get what you got. If you want different outcomes then it is necessary to do different things or do things differently. And the challenge here is to leave the beaten track or step over one's own (unconscious) beliefs. Do you dare the creative challenge?
After this interactive workshop, you will understand the importance of creativity in engineering and the important conditions for it. You have gained insight into the creative process and know a number of important "tools and techniques" that can be used immediately in the different stages. You are able to work with creativity (in a different way) because you have been trained in your creative skills during the workshop. And you are able to guide others in the creative process. During the workshop, you have shown that you can think out-of-the-box and find new ways from new perspectives. More room for creative, innovative and realisation power offers you and your organisation many more opportunities to be successful. In product development, in sales, in production, etc.
You can talk a lot about creativity, but doing, experiencing and learning is more effective and more fun. We have therefore chosen an interactive programme with the emphasis on doing and experiencing.
