In this concluding session of the successful trilogy, Gert Jan Schenau discussed assessing information based on attitude and inconsistent behaviour.

This session interactively covered the three elements important for good assessment:

  • Recognising signs of deception; How do I recognise attitude and behaviour as signs of deception?
  • Awareness of deception; How do I prevent someone from deceiving me and diverting my attention from the subject under discussion?
  • Pitfalls of jumping to conclusions; What tools are there to prevent me from jumping to conclusions and not receiving vital information?

During the session, several practical examples were explored by actively watching, analysing and reviewing videos. These included statements/interviews by Hilary Clinton, Joran van der Sloot, Willem Holleeder and Peter R. de Vries. The participants in the room were initially challenged to come to a conclusion (liar or psychopath), after which Gert Jan Schenau addressed this with his vision and knowledge.

This third session of Human Profiling was very successful and the participants were generally eager to follow up or deepen this. The room was nicely full (about 40 participants) and there was a lot of interaction between Gert Jan and the participants. As a result, the activity was once again rated very highly. During the drinks, there was a lot of talk about the practical value and this certainly appears to be there. The big question is how to keep this acquired knowledge current and convert it into skills. Perhaps a topic for a new lecture? Keep an eye on the KIVI CI agenda and mailing so as not to miss a possible sequel!

Description

Human Profiling
Every day we make decisions based on information from others. But how do you know whether this information is reliable and complete? How do you find out the other person's true intentions? Learn to 'read' your interlocutor, without distrusting him or her.
With Communication in 3D®, you 'calibrate' obtained information, resulting in:
- Generate 65% more information in a shorter time frame;
- Reduce the chance of wrong decisions by 80%;
- Make your conversation 70% more efficient;
- Achieve a higher level of quality of your advice, choice or decision;
- Distinguish yourself with the Human Profiling™ competency for professionals.

Discover and learn the language of the body, and match words with body language at the moment these words are spoken. Generate 65% more information in a shorter time frame by seeing 'depth' in a message. Discover when someone is lying, recognise signs of deception and find out the other person's intentions at lightning speed.

For whom?
The lecture series is intended for the professional who regularly makes decisions based on knowledge and insights. A decision-maker who wants to improve the quality of his or her decision-making and increase the integrity of information by 'reading the other'.

Distinguish (un)reliability in information

Information must not only be complete, it must also be reliable. TNO research shows, that 1% of people are completely unreliable, 1% are completely trustworthy and 98% of people act situationally. This means that when the stakes are high, concessions are made to the truth when the situation demands it. During this seminar, we will provide depth in a highly interactive way:

- Recognising signs of deception; How do I recognise attitudes and behaviour as signs of deception?
- Awareness regarding deception; How do I prevent someone from deceiving me and diverting my attention from the topic to be discussed?
- Pitfalls of jumping to conclusions; What tools are there to prevent me from jumping to conclusions that prevent me from receiving vital information?
