About 25 interested people followed with great interest the evening workshop "Workload Management", which was held in the main hall of the KIVI NIRIA building.
During the workshop, it was explained very clearly how, as a busy commercial engineer, one can tackle workload and regain control of one's overloaded schedule. Two main themes were discussed to manage workload:
How does one set the right priorities?
How to deal with interruptions;
When to say 'No';
How to prioritise my emails.
What system can one apply to work in an organised way?
Another successful evening with animated discussions!
Description
Workload management is all about tackling your workload yourself. Why do you experience workload and your colleague, with the same work, does not? How different is your way of working and couldn't it be better? Would you like to take control of your agenda (again)? How do you get through all those e-mails every day? Perhaps there is no new answer to these questions and you already knew what you should do. This workshop is aimed at getting you to do it. You can decide which part you want to start with in the workplace: it's entirely up to you.
Target group
Anyone who experiences workload or manages people who experience workload.
Structure of workshop
During the workshop we will discuss two main themes for managing your workload:
- How do I set the right priorities?
o How do I deal with interruptions;

- Which system can I apply to work in an organised way?
You are invited - in preparation for the workshop - to send a photo of your workplace. Please use the contact address below to do so. You can send it in until 4 September at the latest. During the training you will receive a reaction to the photo and possibly tips for organising the workplace.

Speaker(s)
Margot Dijker has been providing skills training, management skills, communication and commercial skills as a trainer since 1999. She has had her own training agency since 2004: Dijk training & coaching. Workload management, focusing on team and personal effectiveness, has been a course she has been giving at various organisations including Phillips and Rabobank since 2001. The practical and effective structure of this training continues to be in high demand. What Margot Dijker achieves with the participants is not only learning the (new) skills, but especially retaining the results. She does this by coaching in the workplace in addition to training.
