On the recommendation of the board of the Division of Commercial Engineering, the main board of the Royal Institute of Engineers has appointed ing. Marc Jonkman as Member of Merit of Department of Commercial Engineering for his outstanding merits for this department and for KIVI in general.
Marc Jonkman graduated in 1992 as ing. Commercial Engineering Industrial Sales at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Marc became a member of NIRIA in 2000. Before the merger with KIVI, he joined the board of the Commercial Engineering Division. After the merger, he was a member of the board of the Division of Commercial Engineering from 01-07-2004 to 24-11-2004 and secretary from 24-11-2004 to 05-10-2006. He assumed the chairmanship of the Commercial Engineering Division from 05-10-2006 to 23-06-2016. He was also a member of the Council of Members from 01-01-2008 to 26-11-2013 and is involved in the Governance Code "Safety in Construction" on behalf of KIVI.
Marc is a purebred CI at heart. His studies, his current career and his involvement with KIVI as a board member confirm this. A solid technical knowledge WITH a huge amount of experience as a commercial engineer; he has always enjoyed sharing these experiences with the rest of KIVI.
