How to leverage IT for business' benefit
Description
How to leverage IT for the benefit of the Business?
"You can be the best technologist in the world, but if you cannot effectively convey how to leverage technology and lead initiatives that deploy the technology, it just doesn't matter".
Not often do we get the chance to bring an international icon in the field of Information Management to the Netherlands!
SIG Information Management succeeded and of course this is done for the entire Ngi-NGN. Rotterdam School of Management, Hogeschool van Utrecht and KIVI-IT have also joined in.
The strength of Professor Dr Jerry Luftman's story is mainly his 22 years of practical experience as CIO (IBM), his experience as IT management consultant (which allowed him to look deep into the kitchen of companies) and his experience as a researcher and academic.
He has written more than 18 books and done a lot of scientific research. His annual global IT trends research, a worldwide survey of CIOs conducted by the Society for Information Management is internationally considered the benchmark for many companies.
Of course, Jerry will address the essence and importance of the alignment discussion. He will also present the results of his survey of 3,000 Business and IT executives. He will show which factors are dominant in the ongoing discussion on alignment. Not only will this show geographical differences and differences by industry; his 20 years of research will also reveal trends. Jerry's presentation will focus on the ways IT can be used to facilitate the Business and optimise business performance
