Description

There are 25 Safety Regions in the Netherlands, within which cooperation takes place regarding fire brigade care, disaster and crisis management, medical assistance and public order and safety (with the Police).

Rob's lecture will focus on the role of the CIO within crisis management, the cooperation of the regions and the renewal of information provision at national level.

In particular, Rob will focus on the meaning of semantics in information exchange, the application of geographic information provision and the need for standardisation and architecture for (inter)national crisis management.

Information that is accessible to everyone with joint agreements so that people can find and understand each other's data. This is the ideal picture we are all striving for!

Rob Peters is information manager and, among other things, initiator of VERA, the Safety Region Reference Architecture with a lot of experience in getting things done in an unruly environment
