On 23 June, KIVI Informatics is organising a meeting around current developments in cybersecurity, research and Security Operations. During this meeting, we will be hosted by the Eindhoven Security Hub, an initiative where education, research and practice come together around digital security.

The meeting will focus on the role of the Security Operations Centre, SOC for short, as the connecting link between threat information, detection, response and continuous improvement of cyber resilience. From the Eindhoven Security Hub, there will be a substantive contribution on the operation and significance of the SOC. In addition, PhD researchers will take us through ongoing research that directly touches on the practice of security operations, including IDS rule engineering and the automatic extraction of Cyber Threat Intelligence.

In addition to the presentations, there will be room for depth and interaction in the form of a panel discussion. In it, we will engage with researchers, practice experts and participants on how organisations can strengthen their cyber resilience, what role a SOC plays in this, and how research and practice can better find each other.

The meeting is intended for professionals, engineers, researchers and interested parties working in cybersecurity, IT architecture, operations, risk management or digital resilience. Expect a compact, substantive and interactive session with ample opportunity to share knowledge and make new connections.
