Social Robotics: "Interactive hands-on experience"
Robots are no longer used only in factories. Meanwhile, robots can regularly be found in homes, airports, healthcare facilities and schools. These "Social Robots" offer new solutions and opportunities, especially in sectors where current working methods are under pressure. Participants of this "Social Robotics Event" will be introduced to Social Robots during several short sessions, led by robot evangelist and founder of RobotWise Tamar Neter, and high school teacher and PhD student Matthijs Smakman. Besides allowing participants to touch, programme and use the robots, there will be two short content lectures on social robots and together we will outline a future vision for a world with Social Robotics.
The event will take place under the inspiring leadership of chairman of the day Klaas Brongers. There will be stands with additional and relevant information from Robotwise, the HU Library lab and Capgemini, among others. There will be an opportunity to visit these stands during the walk-in, break and drinks.
Entry is free. But, there is only room for a maximum of 100 participants so be quick!
