Description

The whole world is now online. But where is our data and where is our information really?

Everything online is collected and stored in data centres. Large international companies have their own data centres, such as Microsoft and Google. Besides these well-known big companies, many others use data centres.

Always wanted to know what that really looks like? And how it works? Visit the Atom86 data centre with us and Arjan Westerhoff and let Stijn Grove, director of the Dutch Data Centre Association (DDA), tell you all about it.

Ever been curious where our data is stored? And what role the Netherlands has and wants to play within the digital transformation?

Stijn Grove will tell us all about it in his presentation on data centres:
Data centres make Amsterdam the new centre of the world, by Stijn Grove Managing Director Dutch Datacenter Association, Digital Gateway to Europe
Stijn Grove is director of the DDA (Stichting Dutch Data Center Association) and ambassador for the Netherlands data hub. He will give us an introduction to the wonderful world of the new foundation of our online lives: data centres. He will discuss the biggest change in history: digital transformation, and the locations where it is taking place. And how data centres are keeping the digital world going, with the major growth potential being the Amsterdam hub and surrounding area, which actually grew by 30% in 2016. Want to read up in advance? Then check out the annual Dutch Data Centre report (see link below).
