Description

Bas Rookhuijzen (Google) and Donald Hessing (Capgemini) will give us an insight into 'How Google Works' and 'the evolution of Sharepoint'.

Google: Companies all want to be sustainable and flexible. Especially since the competitor today is no longer the known party, but the unpredictable highly disruptive startups are the competitor and need to be kept up. The problem is that the traditional companies are sometimes a bit slower than the small flexible startups due to their size and 'legacy'. So the question is, how can a traditional company still maintain its innovation speed and thus remain sustainably relevant. The answer has everything to do with culture. Moonshot thinking, Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAG) but, above all, clear purpose, transparency and autonomy. Google has implemented that throughout the company, becoming the largest company in the world. How exactly that works at Google presents Google's Bas Rookhuijzen.

Capgemini: The evolution of SharePoint is accelerating, driven by Microsoft's Cloud First strategy, and fuelled by competitors such as Slack, SharePoint has long since ceased to be the document management system of yesteryear. Video portal, Delve, Machine learning, scheduler, modern team sites, Office 365 Groups, Power Apps and Flow are just examples that have recently been added to Microsoft's Cloud service Office 365 / SharePoint Online. With monthly updates, companies no longer have to wait 3 years for a new release and invest in costly upgrades. But what impact will this change have on our IT landscape, solutions, organisation and way of working?
