Organisation and participants
The incentive prizes are organised and awarded by KIVI. Entrants are students of Technical Computer Science or Technical Mathematics
Staff members and volunteers are excluded
KIVI volunteers who are directly or indirectly involved in the organisation of these prizes cannot compete.
Participation is free
Participation is free, may only take place once and must be submitted in person.
Study courses
At the moment, the prizes are only open to students of Technical Computer Science or Technical Mathematics.
Academic year
Only exams from the academic year 2024-2025 count. That is, exams taken between 2-9-2024 and 31-8-2025.
First-year only
Your first day of study in the academic year must be on or after 1 September 2024. You must also continue with the second year.
Universities only
Currently, the awards are only open to students at a Dutch university (WO).
Price
There are three prizes to be won of a fixed amount per month for the next academic year:
- First prize
The first prize is a monthly amount of €150, which will be transferred at the end of the months between 1-10-2025 and 30-9-2026. - Second and third prize
The second and third prize is a monthly amount of €100, which will be transferred at the end of the months between 1-10-2025 and 30-9-2026.
Not redeemable
The prize can be refused, but is not redeemable for anything else.
Study points
Official study points are used to calculate the final score. Results with qualifications such as good/bad/satisfactory/unsatisfactory are not taken into account.
Foreign study points
Study points earned abroad unfortunately do not count.
Final score
A participant's final score is calculated by KIVI. The credit-weighted total of the marks obtained is the final score.
Payment period prize
Ends without warning at the end of the academic year 2025-2026.
Taxes and other costs
All winners are liable for any additional taxes and/or costs that may arise.
How does the awarding process work?
Registration
Registration for participation is possible until 30-September 2025 via the KIVI website.
What grades
Only from subjects from the official curriculum of the mentioned disciplines, obtained in the mentioned academic year.
Filling in truthfully
Of course the participant will fill in the data truthfully.
Certified grade list
Winners are required to provide a grade list certified by the university within two weeks of the announcement of the results.
Proof of enrolment
Winners are required to provide proof of enrolment for the first and second year at the university and discipline within two weeks of the announcement of the results. This proof must also show the start date.
Exclusion
In case of late submission of proof by winners, abuses, deception or fraud, the organisers expressly reserve the right to exclude the participant(s) concerned from participating in this competition without further ado.
Other conditions
Privacy
Participants agree to the processing of their personal data for the purposes of conducting this competition and other purposes as described in the KIVI Privacy Statement.
Liability
KIVI shall not be liable for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participation in the competition or acceptance of a prize.
Amendments and Cancellation
KIVI reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time or cancel the competition without giving any reason, without incurring any obligation to participants.
