
The digital revolution stands in stark contrast to legal developments on the internet, writes Ronald Prins. Online, the government is handing us over to criminals and hostile powers.
In April 2013, internet services of banks like ING and Rabobank were disrupted or even paralysed for several days. Would something like this happen at a physical branch in the city, the police would have turned out en masse. But different rules apparently apply on the internet, the justice minister put the responsibility of the cyber attacks on the banks themselves. If only they should have ensured better security.
