Description

THIS READING has been rescheduled from 17 SEPTEMBER TO 18 NOVEMBER 2015.

Opposite Eindhoven central station on the site of the former Rabobank office tower, a new, more sustainable office will rise in the coming period to meet the current and future needs of employees. The design of the new office comprises nine shifted floors around an atrium with a total gross floor area of approximately 28,000 square metres.

The workplace concept comprises around 1,500 flexible and activity-related workstations for around 2,000 employees. The atrium connects the common areas and this optimises daylight penetration. Frames in the façade divide the main volume into smaller areas that fit in with the urban environment while simultaneously accentuating the special floors.

Commissioned by property developer OVG Real Estate, construction will be carried out by contractor Boele & van Eesteren. The shell design was created by architecture firm UNStudio. The design of the built-in package was made by architecture firm OTH. Construction of the new office for Rabobank started on 14 April. The new office is scheduled to be commissioned in 2017.

The lecture will detail the design and realisation.
