Description

In cooperation with and thanks to the developer MAB Development bv, the Construction Department is organising the excursion to the plots 1 to 3 of Oosterdokseiland under construction. Oosterdokseiland is an inner-city development totalling around 260,000 m2. The "island" itself is approximately 50,000 m2 in size. Following the already realised lot 4 (Library by J. Coenen) and lot 5A (Conservatorium by F. van Dongen), a 550-room hotel (lot 1) and a residential/office programme on a commercial point (lots 2 and 3) are currently rising on the also largely realised 2-layer underground car park. The hotel is currently under construction and will open in spring 2011. Plots 2 and 3 are in the shell construction phase. Completion of these buildings is expected 2nd half of 2012.
