We would like to invite you to an excursion to EDGE Coolsingel (Coolsingel 75) in Rotterdam: a new, high-quality and highly sustainable office building at a prominent location in the city, opposite the City Hall.

The project is strongly committed to Net Zero Carbon ambitions and high standards of sustainability and well-being. EDGE Coolsingel is also interesting from a structural and circular point of view: the design combines a wood-hybrid support structure (including wooden columns and CLT floors) with a concrete core, and a smart strategy has been developed to reuse parts of the existing basement/substructure.

architecturally, the design follows the rhythm of Coolsingel with a clear plinth and structure, and refers to the work of J.J.P. Oud, the architect who designed the smaller building that first stood on this site. During the excursion, the architect, structural engineer and contractor will each give a short presentation. This will be followed by a tour of the construction site.
