Description

There are still (a total of 30) places available. Utrecht Municipal Office comprises 66,000 m2 and is one of the largest buildings to be built in the Netherlands from mid-2011. The municipality of Utrecht has a lease agreement with NS Poort for the next 25 years. The council offices will be the central point where the people of Utrecht can go for almost all municipal services and products. The building will be located on the west side of the station on the current Mineurslaan, next to the station entrance on the Jaarbeursplein. One of the two new main entrances to the station will be located on the all-new Stationsplein West. With the city office in the Station area, the municipality will become more visible, findable and accessible. With a maximum height of 92 metres, it is the highest and one of the largest municipal offices in the Netherlands. It will house 11 municipal services, which are currently spread across various locations in the city. The aim is to improve cooperation between municipal services by having them work from a single building. The new building will have 2,500 workstations. As some of the employees work part-time, this will be sufficient for a total of some 3,000 employees. The project is being realised by Bouwcombinatie SKU, a collaboration between Boele & van Eesteren and its sister company G&S Bouw. Construction started in April 2011. Completion of the shell is scheduled for January 2014. Work will then continue on the built-in package. After the 2014 construction period, the 3,000 employees of the Municipality will have a new workplace.

The number of participants is limited to 20 persons due to the available reception space; acceptance will take place in order of registration. Participation is at your own risk.
