Lectures will be given by:

Ir Bart van Bueren, Water Architect van Bueren founded in 2008.
Bart is a visionary entrepreneur focusing on climate adaptation. In 2006, he designed a Floating City that picked up the world press and the following year he presented his graduation design in Shanghai for the World Expo 2010. In 2008, De Ingenieur, KIVI NIRIA and NL engineers rewarded Bart for his outstanding work with the Young Technical Professional Award.
Currently, Bart van Bueren is working on Water Wonen Rotterdam, developing floating greenhouses and aiming to provide small villages with floating shops. Bart's presentation will therefore be about "Opportunities and Ambitions for Floating Construction" (see also information links at the bottom of the page).

Dipl. Ing. Florian Heinzelmann M.Arch., PhD researcher at TU Delft and
Project Manager TU Delft ReVolt House, will speak about the ReVolt House. The ReVolt House is a unique design by TU Delft students. The design efficiently combines a solar-powered houseboat and the generation/application of solar energy. Moreover, it meets criteria related to architecture, construction, sustainability, innovation, comfort, etc. The ReVolt House will be built next year and will compete in the Solar Decathlon 2012 competition in Madrid, Spain. Florian's presentation will cover "The ReVolt House". (see also information links at the bottom of the page).


Ir Peter Blonk, Director Aqua Planning, Senior Lecturer in the
"Climate & Environment" course at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
To realise his plans, Peter Blonk founded the company Aqua Planning in 2003. Together with partners "Bouwfonds, van Oord and Betonson", the company has been active in developing floating residential areas in the Netherlands since 2006.
In addition to his work for Aqua Planning, Mr Blonk is closely involved in the development and implementation of education for the "Climate & Environment" course. On this course, the topics of climate adaptation, climate mitigation and transition management are taught.
Peter Blonk's presentation will cover the pathway "Innovation; from Plan to Realisation"
