KIVI Construction Department and Booosting are organising a joint project visit to the under construction Depot of Rotterdam's Boijmans van Beuningen museum on Tuesday 2 July:

Rotterdam is getting yet another icon: the future public museum warehouse of Boijmans van Beuningen! A unique and technically challenging design by MVRDV with a special function: visitors will soon be able to browse among more than 150,000 works of art. During this activity, the protagonists will share their knowledge with you about the realisation of the new collection building. The shape requires special solutions. For instance, the building will have a double-curved glass façade against a curved supporting structure, and the transport doors will be integrated invisibly into the façade. And all in a burglar-proof design.
Construction started in March 2017, completion is scheduled for spring 2021.

Tours of the construction site
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to walk around the construction site. Fortunately, there is plenty to see along the fences! From 12:00 to 13:00, some of the speakers will show us around the construction site. Places for the presentation and tour are limited to 23 participants. Personal protective equipment is not required.
