From 1 January 2022, clients who have signed the Governance Code for Safety in Construction (GCVB) will include safety awareness as an obligation in tenders and contracts. They call this joint agreement: Safety in Tendering (ViA). The NEN Safety Culture Ladder (SCL - Safety Ladder) is used here to make the safety awareness of organisations measurable, transparent and comparable. Qualification is required from contractors and principals! This creates a joint and unambiguous approach for the entire sector.
