Description

Movement is an essential part of nature and thus of being human. It is therefore striking that so little attention is paid to movement when it comes to artefact design, whether in art, architecture or industrial design.
Human movement is represented in an art form of its own, ballet, but moving artefacts are seen by few artists. Industrial designers also pay little attention to it, and even fewer architects.

The exhibition of Jean Tinguely's work at the Stedelijk is a good opportunity to address movement design during a study evening.
The programme consists of four parts, three lectures and a guided tour.

The cost is 25 Euro per person, including a sandwich meal and excluding admission to the museum (museum annual pass holders have free admission to the museum).
The number of participants of this special event is limited to 40 people
