Description
KIVI NIRIA Region The Hague is organising a workshop entitled "Ventilation of dwellings" in collaboration with the Haagse Hogeschool on Wednesday 23 November 2011 at the HHS location Delft. The workshop will be conducted by Mr Piet Jacobs. During and after the lecture, there will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion. The evening will end with networking and drinks.
Ventilation of homes often turns out to be out of order. Especially balanced ventilation with mechanical air supply and exhaust with heat recovery regularly gets negative press. Common problems include: noise nuisance, poor air distribution and dust in the ducts. The consequence of these problems is that the indoor climate in homes is not in order and unnecessary open windows negate the intended energy savings.
With the new Building Decree 2012 limiting installation noise for newly built residential functions to 30 dB(A), development is gaining momentum. Noise levels are easy to determine, therefore problems come to light faster. Piet Jacobs will discuss design problems in practice and problems in coordination in the construction process.
TNO, together with the Vereniging Leveranciers van Luchttechnische Apparaten (VLA), is conducting an Industry Innovation Project with the aim of taking ventilation to the next level, see www.ventilatieforum.nl In the autumn 2011 issue of RCC Koude & Luchtbehandeling, with the theme "Ventilate well; how do you do that?", an article was published in which Piet Jacobs explains how, through cooperation between TNO and VLA, this innovation project will contribute to knowledge transfer and better coordination in the building chain.
Piet Jacobs will discuss new insights and experience as a result of this innovation project in his presentation. During the presentation, there will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion
